SFOMAX is a sub miniature camera made in France, produced by
SFOAM ( Société
Française d'Optique Mécanique )
Original military models were transformed to the
civil market
Arrived to the public around 1949, just after
the 2nd WW, was official commercialized till 1955
Build in aluminium It’s a rangefinder focus, allowing the possibility
to match 2 pictures
Lens SFOMAR 30mm /3.5, including the possibility to slide
a yellow filter for mountain photos
Shutter speeds from 1/30 until 1/400
It was prepared to take 20 photos in a format 14x23mm
on un-perforated 16mm film.
